I am into technology but we all find ourselves in situations where we have to deal for salary negotiations after tech rounds. So, it becomes  quite crucial to have some understanding and preparation to grab the right value. I am sharing some bullets which you should have given thought once:

1. Know your worth

Just brainstorm on how your knowledge and previous experience bring a distinguishing value to the business.

One senior software engineer with 8 years of experience, proficient in one tech domain and good at analytics and marketing tools carries more worth than the one who just hold 5 years of experience and little extra.

2. Explore additional benefits

Good salary is of course a big motivational factor but is it enough? In reality, We expect beyond that in our job and day to day life.

Apart from salary numbers, always explore the add-on benefits for example: Medical coverage, Tax Structure, Meal Cards, Leave policy etc.

3. Explain your expected figure

When you are expecting a salary figure then you should be precise enough to explain your reasons.

Your salary proportions to your worth in the industry and there should be listed parameters which can help you and most importantly businesses understand and measure.

4. Convey confidence

You have done enough homework for the required parameters to define your worth. Show that you are not having a casual salary discussion just like any other candidate. It's absolutely crucial then you always speak gently, deliberately and confidently along with maintaining the open posture and eye contact.
